Pack up the family and head on down to the oceanfront to enjoy Christmas Lights at the Beach. Between now and New Year’s the Boardwalk is a fantasy of lights from 1st street to 28th street. It’s $12 per car on week days and $15 per car on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
The Ice Palace is a Christmas addition to MacArthur Center. Kids can chat with Santa and have their picture taken with the old gent. In addition you might want to try your hand at ice skating at the MacArthur rink which is open through January.
Norfolk’s version of a light show happens at the gorgeous Norfolk Botanical Gardens. You can tour the lights in your car for $15 per car weekdays and $20 per car Friday Saturday and Sunday. You can also take a tram ride through the gardens complete with a warming hot chocolate before the ride for $10 per person.
On Saturday December 14, you can see the traditional, beloved Dickens classic A Christmas Carol at the Wells Theater. The timeless tale will delight old and young alike.
