Working moms are always busy. They lead several lives, are confident professional women. They are moms and are wives in many cases. Moms are also chauffeurs, cheerleaders, tutors, laundresses, chefs and maids. During Summer things are maybe a little more laid back. The sports teams are on hiatus. There is probably no need to get the kids up at or before the crack of dawn. There is no homework to supervise.
If the kids are old enough to stay home on their own, they can fend for themselves for lunches. If the children are younger, there will probably be a care giver to take care of feeding them and keeping them occupied during the day. Or maybe they go to a day care center where their needs are met.
Summers are, therefore a little bit less stressful. Then Labor Day comes and the working mother is “on duty” from sun-up to sun-down. She is exhausted.
Summer is a busy time of year for stay-at-home women. They have to balance their normal household tasks with having kids underfoot for three months. The kids get easily bored and are constantly demanding some new form of entertainment. They make household tasks more demanding. When she has errands to do, chances are she will have to load the kids in the car and take them along.
Don’t forget that moms seldom miss the (fill in the blank) little league, soccer, lacrosse, volleyball game or practice. She is exhausted too!
In families where the kids are home schooled, there is even more work for Mom to do. On top of all the previously mentioned household chores, she is tasked with the education of her children. That is an awesome responsibility when you think about it. The home school mom is also exhausted.
One way for all moms to give themselves a little breathing room is to let someone else do the weekly house cleaning chores. Hiring a cleaning service adds several hours back into the schedule each week. Call Custom Maid at 499-8568 for a little help!
