When I took my grandkids on an adventure from the time when they were two and I was pushing them around in a stroller until they became teenagers, we always went to the Virginia Aquarium a couple of times a year. All three of us love sitting in the mini auditorium in the dark watching the gigantic fish tank. Once, on our adventure, we even saw Santa scuba diving with the fish and feeding them. As the kids got a little older and could walk without the stroller, they would run from one kid friendly exhibit to the next. Another favorite at the aquarium is the river otters. It’s a great exhibit at the annex which is a quick half mile stroll through the marshes where you happen upon all manner of wild life, especially blue herons.
Take the dolphin tour that is sponsored by the Virginia Aquarium. The boat leaves on its adventure from Rudee Inlet and goes north, parallel to the oceanfront. It’s about a two hour trip up and back and we have never been on a trip where we didn’t find some dolphins. They come right up to the boat as if to see what is going on.
Don’t forget the sunscreen as being out on the water intensifies the sun’s rays and screaming kids is NOT an adventure!
Now wouldn’t you rather have an adventure with the kids than clean your own home? Check into our Three Pack Special: three two hour cleanings by a team of two (four man hours) for only $399 which is a $126 savings!
